Prof. Kai Yan

Dr. Yan is a full professor at Sun Yat-sen University at Guangzhou and worked as Ten Thousand Plan Young Talent of China. His group mainly concentrates on design of environmentally benign nanostructured materials for catalytic transformation of renewable sources into clean energy and value-added products. Dr. Yan’s research interests span the areas of heterogeneous catalysis, electrochemistry, green chemistry, biorefining, materials science and nanotechnology. He started his PhD study at Max-Planck-Institute for Coal Research in 2008 in Germany with the support of Max-Planck-Society Scholarship. He obtained his PhD from RWTH Aachen University in December 2011. After that, he received the Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship and worked at Lakehead University (Canada) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2012. After that, he joined Brown University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in December 2013. In 2016, he obtained Hundred Talent Plan from Sun Yat-sen University and joined the university in 2017. Since January 2017, he is the leader of clean energy lab and the associate dean of Guangdong Provincial Lab of Resource Utilization. So far, his group has filed over 15 Patents and published over 85 papers in Angewandte Chem., Applied Catalysis B., ACS Catal., Green Chemistry, Small, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Chem. Eng. J. et al. He is the associated Editor of three international journals and editorial member of eight international journals. Since coming to Sun Yat-sen University, Dr. Yan has been the recipient of Hundred Talent Award, Science and Technology Award for Ecological Environment, IAAM Medal Award, National Ten Thousand Talent Award from Central Organization Department of China.
在Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Appl. Catal. B, ACS Catal., Chem. Eng. J., Green Chem., Small等国际学术期刊上发表SCI论文60篇，12篇入选ESI高被引论文，2篇入选封面文章，3篇入选热点文章，部分成果被C&EN （美国化学化工新闻）等作为研究亮点发专文报道。

Prof. Wang works at the Mine Construction Research Institute (General Institute of Coal Science and Technology) of Tiandi Technology Co., Ltd., as an associate professor of the Mine Construction Research Institute of Tiandi Technology Co., Ltd. At the same time, he is also the chief engineer of the National Engineering Laboratory and the director of the Beijing Mining Construction Technology Editing Department. Professor Wang is a member of the China Soft Rock Engineering and Deep Disaster Control Association, a member of the American Science and Technology Association, and a member of the editorial department of Science World Magazine. He participated in 2 research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in 2 national high-tech research and development projects (863), and presided over or participated in 3 provincial natural science research projects, won 4 provincial science and technology awards, invention patents 2 items, 5 utility model patents.
Distinguished Prof. Baoyu Gao

Dr Baoyu Gao is distinguished professor of Environmental Engineering of Shandong University, and Distinguished Taishan Scholar of Shandong Province, China. From January of 2001 to 2012, he served as Dean of the School of environmental science and engineering, Shandong University, P.R.China. He received his B.S. in Chemistry in 1982 from East China Petroleum Institute, Shandong, China, M.E. in Environmental Engineering in 1987 from East China University of Chemical Technology, Shanghai, China, and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in 1999 from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Dr. Gao has conducted more than 60 funded research projects. His research and consulting experience includes the preparation and properties of new kinds of coagulant/flocculant and adsorbents, coagulation/ flocculation and adsorption for water and wastewater, water and wastewater treatment technology, etc.. He is widely known for his research on the preparation, properties and behavior of new kind of coagulants/flocculants in water and wastewater treatment. Up till now, Dr.Gao has published 806 peer-reviewed papers in the high-impact national and international journals, and has received 28 awards from international, national, ministerial and provincial government and obtained 89 patents for the chemicals and technology for water and wastewater treatment. Among 806 peer-reviewed papers, 564 papers are SCI - indexed papers, the total SCI citation is 19818, and h-index is 66. He is currently a member of International Water Association (IWA), the member of Chinese Society of Environmental Science; deputy director of the Industry Water Treatment Branch, Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, etc.. Currently, he serves on the editorial board of 15 national and international journals, including “Journal of Environmental Sciences-China”, “China Environmental Science” and “Environmental Science”, etc. He was honored as the Highly-cited Scholar of China by Elsevier in 2014,2015,2016,2017, 2018 and2019.
高宝玉博士是山东大学环境工程学教授，山东省泰山学者。 2001年1月至2012年，他担任中国山东大学环境科学与工程学院院长。在1982年，他在中国石油大学(华东)获得了化学学士学位； 1987年在华东理工大学获得环境工程硕士学位；1999年在清华大学获得环境工程专业的博士学位。高博士进行了60多个研究项目。他的研究和咨询经验包括新型凝结剂/絮凝剂和吸附剂的制备和性能，水和废水的凝结/絮凝和吸附，水和废水处理技术等。他的研究新型混凝剂/絮凝剂在水和废水处理中的特性和性能广为人知。截至目前，高博士已在影响力很大的国家和国际期刊上发表了806篇同行评审论文，并获得了国际，国家，部级和省级政府的28项奖项，并获得了89项关于水处理化学品和废水处理技术的专利。在806篇经同行评审的论文中，有564篇是SCI收录的论文，被SCI引用的总数为19818，而h-index为66。他目前是国际水协会（IWA）的会员，是中国环境科学学会的会员;中国化学工业与工程学会工业水处理分会副理事长。目前，他在15个国内外期刊的编辑委员会任职，其中包括《中国环境科学》，《中国环境科学》。在2014、2015、2016、2017、2018和2019年，他被爱思唯尔（Elsevier）评为中国高被引学者。
