Dr. Yan is a full professor at Sun Yat-sen University at Guangzhou and worked as Ten Thousand Plan Young Talent of China. His group mainly concentrates on design of environmentally benign nanostructured materials for catalytic transformation of renewable sources into clean energy and value-added products. Dr. Yan’s research interests span the areas of heterogeneous catalysis, electrochemistry, green chemistry, biorefining, materials science and nanotechnology. He started his PhD study at Max-Planck-Institute for Coal Research in 2008 in Germany with the support of Max-Planck-Society Scholarship. He obtained his PhD from RWTH Aachen University in December 2011. After that, he received the Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship and worked at Lakehead University (Canada) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2012. After that, he joined Brown University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in December 2013. In 2016, he obtained Hundred Talent Plan from Sun Yat-sen University and joined the university in 2017. Since January 2017, he is the leader of clean energy lab and the associate dean of Guangdong Provincial Lab of Resource Utilization. So far, his group has filed over 15 Patents and published over 85 papers in Angewandte Chem., Applied Catalysis B., ACS Catal., Green Chemistry, Small, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Chem. Eng. J. et al. He is the associated Editor of three international journals and editorial member of eight international journals. Since coming to Sun Yat-sen University, Dr. Yan has been the recipient of Hundred Talent Award, Science and Technology Award for Ecological Environment, IAAM Medal Award, National Ten Thousand Talent Award from Central Organization Department of China.

Abd El-Fatah Abomohra, PhD, is a Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Department of Environmental Engineering, School of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SACE), Chengdu University (China). He received his PhD in “Phycology” through a cooperation program between Tanta University (Egypt) and Hamburg University (Germany) funded by Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). He performed postdoctoral research at Hamburg University (Germany) and Harbin Institute of Technology (China). After his graduation, he worked as a faculty member at Tanta University (Egypt), Jiangsu University (China) and Chengdu University (China).
His major is interdisciplinary of microbiology and environmental engineering. He has stupendous research experiences and finite vision in the field of biofuel production. According to Web of Science, he published more than 100 SCI papers, most of them are in Q1 journals with 4 papers as “Highly Cited Paper”. In 2020, he nominated among the Top-10 publications and citation at Tanta University (Egypt). In addition, he was one of the World’s Top 2% of Scientists List published by Stanford University. Recently in 2020, he published a very valuable review article in one of the top energy journals “Progress in Energy and Combustion Science” (CiteScore 56.4 and Impact Factor 29.4, click here). Currently, he is the head of the New Energy and Environmental Laboratory (NEEL) at Chengdu University. His research group is primarily working on bioenergy production from different biomass feedstocks and wastes.

Dr. Xingxing Zhang is an Associate Professor in energy technology at Dalarna University, Sweden. Dr. Zhang is specialised in the areas of adaptive solar façades, energy data analytics, future climate adaption and urban energy-economic modelling. He is leading the City Information Modelling (CIM) research group with multidisciplinary research across subjects of energy, building and data analytics. The group is active in national/international projects, IEA tasks and EU Cost action. Dr. Zhang has led or participated in research projects funded by H2020, Swedish Energy Agency, STINT etc. He has published 3 books, 10 chapters and 122 papers as well as 10 patents. He has a few ESI highly cited papers and one of them has been awarded 2017 & 2018 most cited paper award from journal of Applied Energy. He was awarded by the Chinese government in 2013 as one of the best PhD students abroad. He has won the second place of ‘EU-China Dragon-star Innovation Prize’ in 2015 and the “EU-China CRN Best Paper Award” at the 4th workshop of EU-China relations on Global politics in 2015. He is a grant reviewer for European Research Council (ERC) programme and the reviewer for over 20 international SCI journals. He serves as the subject editor and board member of several journals. Dr. Zhang is the Accredited Professional Certificate of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP), UK Chartered Engineer (CEng), member of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), and CIB Commission Member of W098 Intelligent and Responsive Buildings.

Professor Arash Gharibi carried out teaching and research on bio-photonic and aerosol science at Lund University (LU), Zhejiang University (ZJU), China University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), China, and Shanxi Normal University (SXNU), China. Currently, he is the head of the Aerosol and Environmental Science (AAEC) team at Samarkand State University (Samdu), Uzbekistan. He was awarded his first guest professor title in physics 2010 from University of shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) in Shanghai, China and his second guest professor title in physics 2013 from Shanxi Normal University (SXNU) in Linfen , China.
